McKenzie Elizabeth - Newborn Portraits
Part of becoming a mom is realizing things don't always go to plan. That was surely the case for this new momma . We had plans for her to have a Fresh 48 session at the hospital after her baby girl was born. Well, that didn't work out but I managed to get this little squishy thing in studio and take some posed portraits of her instead. And oh my goodness, things definitely happen for a reason. McKenzie is such a gorgeous little girl with a head full of hair and the most pinchable little cheeks.

Mom is a fan of neutrals and lace but was open to other things as well. Coming in the studio, McKenzie was sleepy and all ready to go so we hopped right into it. And can I just say that I could have cuddled her all day. So sweet and such a good baby.
We started out on this gorgeous floral fabric with a crocheted lace layer. Her face and cheeks looked adorable in this head on hands pose so I changed out accessories and kept her comfy.
A backdrop and pose change so we could get some great shots of this sweet things sleeping.
Simple movements of baby gets us a whole new pose and different angles without moving baby too much.
I also love to grab some detail shots like baby's rolls, her toes, and her facial features.
Mom also brought an outfit she liked so we used these while baby girl was good and sleepy.
McKenzie started to get a little restless so we wrapped her and got some great shots of her all cozy.
